Producer •  Director • Cinematographer • Editor • StoryTeller
Los Angeles native, Marques T. Owens (MO) is an extremely innovative only-child, who always knew that he wanted to be apart of the entertainment industry in a creative way. After prestigious internships at Warner Bros. and A&M Records, he realized his calling was to become a filmmaker and produce/direct videos. Upon graduating from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia, Owens ran successful businesses in graphic design, photography, and video production. It was in 2004 when Owens finally decided to move back to Los Angeles and begin his career in filmmaking. Immediately upon his arrival, he wrote and directed his first comedy feature "Occupation: Hollywood, The Movie" which won him the Robert Rodriguez Award of Excellence (Highest Honor) at the 2005 Hollywood DV Festival and acquired distribution through Universal Home Entertainment. This was the monumental beginning of his promising career as a filmmaker. Since his debut directorial effort, Marques has directed music videos, short films, commercials, documentaries, and more. During his career he has had the pleasure to work with talent such as Jamie Foxx, Samuel L. Jackson, Jake Gyllenhal, Ron Howard, Tyrese Gibson, Taraji P. Henson, T-Pain, Keyshia Cole, Dave Hollister, and more. In 2007, Marques decided to give back to the community by teaching inner-city youth about multimedia and was hired by the Regional Occupation Program (ROP) in Los Angeles where he has been a positive influence providing priceless experiences and exposing them to a variety of careers in the industry, which many of his students have pursued. Simultaneous with his work in education, Marques T. Owens (a.k.a. "MO the Mogul") still continues to produce/direct videos and tell stories.
